Clwb Dringo De Cymru
Sefydlwyd Clwb Dringo De Cymru yn 1960 gyda'r nod o greu diddordeb mewn mynydda o bob math a dod a phobl gyda'r diddordeb yma at ei gilydd. Mae gweithgaredda'r clwb yn amrywio o fynydda a dringo i sgramblo a cherdded mynyddoedd, i ddechreuwyr a'r profiadol fel ei gilydd.
Mae yna tua 150 aelod gyda changhennau yng Nghaerdydd ac Abertawe sy'n cwrdd yn rheolaidd i ddringo tu mewn a thu allan.
Trefnir nifer o ddigwyddiadau dringo o gwmpas Prydain, a thramor o bryd i'w gilydd. Ceir hefyd ddigwyddiadau sy'n rhoi cyflwyniad arbennigol i rai di-brofiad.
Mae'r aelodaeth yn agored i rywun dros 18 oed. Rydym yn perthyn i'r BMC ac mae Uned Iau i'r clwb hefyd.
Mae'r clwb yn cyfarfod bob nos Fercher, yn dringo creigiau lleol yn yr haf, a thu mewn yn ystod y gaeaf. Trefnir tripiau yn achlysurol. Am wybodaeth pellach gweler y dudalen 'meets'. Annogir dechreuwyr i ddod i'r cyfarfodydd bob wythnos ond dylent gysylltu ag aelod o'r clwb o flaen llaw.

50th Anniversary Events
Mon, 08/16/2010 - 07:50 — Steve HillThe South Wales Mountaineering Club is 50 years old this year! To mark the occasion, there are a number of events being organised and we'd like to encourage as many members and ex-members to attend as possible! If you're interested in attending any of these events, please email swmc@nexusuk.org. We would also be grateful if all past and present members were able to spread the word about these events to anyone the know who has been involved with the SWMC in the past. It would be great to see as many familiar (and maybe some unfamiliar) faces as possible to swap tales and adventures about the history of the club - 50 years is quite a remarkable feat!
25th - 26th September: North Wales
As part of the SWMC 50th Anniversary celebrations, there will be a meet in North Wales at our wonderful little hut on the weekend of 25-26 September.
There are also 12 beds booked at the Lincoln Mounteering hut nextdoor (which SWMC also owned once upon a time!). This means we can hold an extra big meet for up to 30 people!
27th November: Annual Dinner
The annual dinner is going to be an extra-big event this year. This will take place in Cardiff City Hall on Saturday 27th November, starting at 19:00. More details to come soon!
Portland sport climbing trip - Sept 11/12th

A weekend trip to the ever-sunny Portland on the south coast will take place on the weekend of September 11-12th.
This is a sport climbing trip, but even if you've never clipped a bolt before, Portland's the ideal place to start.
